Visualising Leatherback Turtle movements & nesting patterns in the South Pacific
In this project for The Nature Conservancy we delve into longterm leatherback turtle nesting and satellite tracking datasets to uncover the fascinating lives of these enigmatic creatures of our oceans - the world's largest and deepest diving sea turtle.

Marine biodiversity monitoring protocols for marine protected areas in eastern Africa
From coral reef surveys and tracking marine megafauna to monitoring human impacts and fisheries enforcement in marine protected areas in this project we contribute to seascape conservation at several sites in East Africa.

Evaluating the status of threatened mammals using Indigenous knowledge
By tapping into millennia of accumulated traditional ecological knowledge this study uses and showcases the value of Aboriginal knowledge to map and assess the status and distribution of threatened mammals in Australia's tropical savannas.

Monitoring hunting impacts on wildlife in community-based protected areas in Papua New Guinea
Using eDNA technology, in this project we establish a comprehensive monitoring program to assess the impacts of hunting and community-led protected areas on key wildlife species in one of Papua New Guinea's first conservation areas.

Investigating movements & distribution patterns of nomadic species in relation to productivity in Australia's arid rangelands
How do nomadic species respond to highly variable climatic & habitat conditions over vast scales and how do we cater for the conservation of such species? Adopting species distribution modelling & satellite tracking this study addresses such questions.

Assessing the conservation status of Endangered Vini lorikeets of French Polynesia
Using standardised surveys across several years this study assessed the conservation status and developed population estimates for the highly threatened Vini lorikeets of French Polynesia, and included the first systematic surveys of the Critically Endangered Ultramaine Lorikeet of the Marquesas Archipelago.

Tracking sustainable development trends across the world's tropical zone
Drawing on a broad range of datasets from multilateral organisations such as the UN, World Bank, IUCN & others this project focusses on a series of environmental, social & economic indicators (including the UN's SDGs) to assess development trends across the world's tropical zone.

Waterbird and seabird population monitoring across continental Australia
Employing a range of methods including aerial, ground-based and drone surveys to assess and monitor the status and distribution of waterbird and seabird populations and nesting colonies at scale across continental Australia.

Landscape Intelligence: integrating technology platforms for landscape conservation in southern Africa
From soil microbes to elephants and from grasslands to forests, this project aims to develop a 'technology stack' of integrated technology platforms for monitoring biodiversity for landscape conservation in the Albany Biodiversity Corridor in South Africa.
